Community Guidelines

Fostering a helpful and respectful environment for all pilots.

Introduction

Welcome to the UAX community. Our goal is to create a collaborative space where pilots can share knowledge, ask questions, and help each other succeed in their aviation journey. These guidelines are designed to ensure that our platform remains a positive and productive environment for everyone.

1. Be Respectful and Professional

Aviation is a professional field, and we expect our users to conduct themselves accordingly. Treat fellow pilots with respect, even when you disagree. Harassment, hate speech, and personal attacks will not be tolerated.

  • Constructive Criticism: When offering feedback, focus on the content, not the person.
  • Zero Tolerance: We have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or background.

2. Contribute Helpful Content

When adding notes or comments, aim to add value to the discussion.

  • Relevance: Ensure your notes are relevant to the specific question or topic.
  • Accuracy: Verify your information before posting. Misinformation can be dangerous in aviation.
  • Clarity: Write clearly and concisely. Use proper terminology where appropriate.

3. Voting System Usage

The voting system helps surface the best content. Use it responsibly.

  • Vote Helpful: If a note clarifies a complex concept or provides a useful mnemonic.
  • Vote Not Helpful: If a note is incorrect, off-topic, or confusing. Do not use this for personal disagreements.

4. No Spam or Self-Promotion

Keep the platform free of spam.

  • Do not post advertisements or unauthorized links.
  • Do not post the same content repeatedly.

5. Reporting Violations

If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it to our moderation team. We review all reports and take appropriate action.
